Travel Grants

Calling postgraduate students and early-mid career researchers interested in showcasing your Australian food allergy research to the world!

Applications for the CFAR3 Travel Grants are now open. Funding is available to help support your presentations at in-person, virtual and hybrid domestic and international conferences.

Available Travel Grants

Domestic travel (up to $1500)

International travel (up to $4000)


How to apply

Please complete the application form and submit it with the following supporting documents to

  1. A copy of your accepted abstract (or abstract to be submitted). Evidence of abstract acceptance will be required before the grant is confirmed
  2. A summary CV (maximum 2 pages)
  3. A budget summary (e.g. conference attendance, airfares, accommodation costs).


To be eligible you must be:

  • Enrolled in or employed by an Australian University as a PhD or Masters’ student (100 per cent research) or level A-C academic within 15 years of your PhD being awarded
  • Managed or supervised by at least one CFAR Chief or Associate Investigator
  • An Australian citizen or an Australian permanent resident. International students / researchers based in Australia are also eligible
  • Presenting an oral or poster presentation at a conference that aligns with the CFAR3 vision and mission
  • A current CFAR member
